GM Feature and a few laughs....

Journal Entry: Wed Sep 23, 2009, 11:18 PM
Hi Everyone!

Well, it's been very busy this week and will be for the next several days as we're getting ready for our next business trip. So you'll probably notice that I haven't been around much, and won't be for the next several days. Our show this time is an 8 day marathon, I have no idea if I'll have any internet access at all. :shrug:

Yesterday, we got to meet up with *jenzanimo :iconjenzanimo: She's here visiting from France, and going to a Hippo collectors conference. We went to the Liberty Memorial, took pictures and then back to the house for dinner. Tomorrow night we'll have her over for steaks. :nod: She also presented us with a really cool frog! :nod: We named him Pierre Francois. :giggle:

With the last feature of the $taff folks here on DA I decided I might as well do a feature of the Gallery Moderators as well. I just went to the official DA Gallery Moderator list, and went off of it so if anyone was left out it's not my fault. :no: As is with many things I do, I find out after I start just how difficult it is to do what I set out to do. Realize, I had to go to each gallery and pluck out something I liked! :nod: You'll notice that I put their departments there for your use. These are the folks that take your Daily Deviation suggestions. :nod:

That's about all the earth shattering news from here!

Enjoy the features!

And as always!

Just For Laughs!

A handsome young lad went into the hospital for some minor surgery and the day after the procedure, a friend stopped by to see how the guy was doing. The friend was amazed at the number of Nurses who entered the room in short intervals with refreshments, offers to fluff his pillows, make the bed, give back rubs, etc. "Why all the attention ?" the friend asked. "You look fine to me."

"I know !" grinned the patient. "But the Nurses kinda formed a little fan club when they all heard that my circumcision required twenty-seven
stitches."

Jack was returning to work Monday morning with two black eyes. His workmates were understandably curious: "Jack, what happened to you?!?" "It was the darndest thing! I was at church yesterday, and this fat lady stood up in front of me. You know how a dress can get stuck in the crack of the butt of a fat lady? It looked funny. I figured she wouldn't like that, so I just reached over and pulled it out with a little tug. Next thing I know, she spins around and socks me one!"

"Jeez, you got TWO black eyes in one blow?"

"Naw. After she turned back around, I figured she was angry that I pulled the dress out of her crack, so I tried to poke it back in..."

Two men are playing tennis, one man falls and hits his elbow and decides to go to the doctors, the other man says "Don't waste any money on the doctors, just go inside the store at the corner down the street, put $10 in the machine in the corner, piss in the cup, let it do its thing and a slip of paper will come out that tells you what you have". So he goes to the store puts ten dollars in the machine, pisses in the cup and out comes a piece of paper it says "You have tennis elbow take this ointment cream and apply it on your elbow 3-4 times a daily". So he goes home wondering how it knew what was wrong, and wanted to see if this machine is a real miracle worker, so he goes home and gets his sisters piss, brothers piss, dogs piss, and jacks-off in the cup goes back to the store, puts ten dollars in the machine and places the cup in the machine. The paper comes out and says "Your sister has gonorrhea, your brother is gay, your dog has worms, and if you keep jacking-off like that you'll never lose that tennis elbow.

When Ralph first noticed that his manhood was growing larger and staying erect longer, he was delighted, as was his wife. But after several weeks his penis had grown to nearly twenty inches. Ralph became quite concerned, so he and his wife went to see a prominent urologist. After an initial examination, the physician explained to the couple that, though rare, Ralph's condition could be cured through corrective surgery. "How long will Ralph be on crutches?" the wife asked anxiously. "Crutches? Why would he need crutches?" responded the surprised doctor. "Well," said the wife, "you are planning to lengthen Ralph's legs, aren't you?"

A doctor walked into a bank. Preparing to endorse a check, he pulled a rectal thermometer out of his shirt pocket and tried to 'write' with it. Realizing his mistake, he looked at the thermometer with annoyance and said, "Well that's great, just great... some asshole's got my pen!"

A Tiny Bit About Me...

Just in case anybody wants to know. I'm 53 years old. I have no illusions regarding photography as a career. I was a professional wedding and portrait shooter many many years ago. I was trained by a PPAA award winning Professional Photographer. I now shoot primarily for fun, and enjoy helping others as I can. To dispel any misunderstandings, I've never referred to myself as an "artist".
To me, that is a professional designation.
I am a shooter, that's what I am.

I am a professional craftsperson, and so is my wife. My wife and I have run our own business for the past 31 years, and we manage to keep our heads afloat. :nod: I also do not discuss what I do for a living on DA, as this is my pleasure, and I prefer not to mix my profession with my pleasure.

My wife is: =LadyAliceofOz:iconladyaliceofoz:
My daughter is ~DreamingDragonDesign:icondreamingdragondesign:
She's doing some kickass artisan craft work there, check it out!
My son, (my daughter's husband) is ~FlipWardDragon :iconflipwarddragon:

A Note TO All!

Anyone who has :+fav:ed my works...
:iconrudeboyskunkplz::iconrudeboyskunkplz2::iconrudeboyskunkplz3:

By the way, if I'm watching you, and you're watching me, I probably won't thank you for any :+fav:'s. I'll spend more time going through your gallery, or viewing your deviations, and talking with you via comments because I'm not spending time thanking for :+fav:'s! :giggle:

I also do not participate in the "Link System". I have no opposition to others participating. I just personally don't have the time to do so. :no:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Also, this is a Politics, Religion, and Hate free zone. I have friends from all walks of life, all religious denominations, sects, you name it. In my journal features you're likely to find a Jew's deviation next to an Arabs, Black next to White and any combination in between.
One other note. I am a former Marine. It was an honor to serve my country.
I am proud of all service people around the world, who choose to serve their countries, past and present.
I have close friends who were Army Pathfinders, My Brother was Special Forces in Viet-Nam. My Mother was a WAVE (Navy WWII). My son, (~DreamingDragonDesign's husband) was Army Airborne during Desert Storm.
A particular deviant here that I watch is former Air Force.
I entered the service in 1974 when the Navy & Marines no longer accepted would be young felons,and trouble makers and the Army no longer accepted losers and conscripts. Since that time in military history the services have learned that we're all pulling on the same rope. There's no room on my page for badmouthing any branch of the service. I refuse to engage in berating any branch of the United States Armed forces. We all served under the same flag :flagus:. If anyone chooses to berate any service, they will be blocked from my page.
There's nothing we can really do about those who hate. So don't spread it around here please! :D
Don't take life too seriously... Nobody comes out of it alive, anyway! :nod:
Art is like Love, unless it is shared,and viewed by others and appreciated, it has no mutual return, it is empty and hollow, and lonely.
If I started a "chipin account" to collect money to fly Ferice & LadyAliceOfOz to Romania to help (mother,smother,bother, and otherwise be a nuisance) Biutz with her pregnancy, would you donate? LOL
